One year on the Majestical crew
Celebrating a seriously big anniversary!
We’re thrilled to share that it’s been just over a year since the wonderful Rachel and Vikki chose to join the Majestical team! Rachel took a big risk when she left a well established events agency and Vikki came on board through the government Kickstarter Scheme.
It’s really important to take a step back and recognise success in these moments, so we took some time to at some of the many things they’ve helped us to collectively achieve, including:
Exploring some new, seriously good hand drawn animation techniques
Enabling and championing our B-Corp certification journey
Launching our new charity illustration initiative
Opening up new opportunities with new creative partners
Levelling up our pitch game with custom, hand drawn storyboards
Generally filling our studio with life, love and a sense of belonging to something really special!
What's it really like working on the Majestical team?
So how do these innovative, passionate & seriously talented creative experts really feel about being part of the Majestical team? We asked Rachel and Vikki to give us their honest answers to a few questions, reflecting on their experiences throughout this first year:
1. How far have you come this year?
Vikki: “I think I’ve developed quite a lot within the last year. I really appreciate the support I've had and opportunities to develop and learn and I think because of that I now feel much more confident using software that I was completely new to a year ago”
Rachel: “Pretty far. From what felt at first like a bit of a risk leaving my previous job of 7 years to be part of something that seemed too good to be true, to now feeling like this is absolutely where i'm meant to be.”
2. Was it what you were expecting?
Rachel: “Yes and No. Obviously you never really know what something's going to be like until you're in it which is why we have to take risks. However, I had a good feeling about it and that as a team we were definitely on the same page, which is still true today!”
3. What have you enjoyed the most?
Rachel: “Not dreading going to work!”
Vikki: “Everyone is very supportive and on the same page, I enjoy being part of the studio!”
4. What are you most looking forward to?
Rachel: “This sounds a bit cringey but I know Majestical is going to keep growing and working on some amazing projects as time goes on, so I guess I'm just looking forward to seeing where we will collectively develop and continue to succeed.”
Thank you for all your hard work
Without these two seriously good creative humans, we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are today!
The ideas, raw talent and commitment these two live and breath every day are what have nurtured growth and success in our humble creative studio. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for choosing to share your expertise with us every day!
