Founded in 2017 by Rich Cook, a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Mindset Practice deliver transformational change through their suite of research backed programmes and tools.
Historically the team of Mindset Practice facilitators travelled throughout the UK, delivering their range of resources in person to leaders and teams. Whilst achieving incredible results with clients such as DSTL and Thales, Rich and Director of Parter Solutions Jackie Grier, recognised the geographical and logistical restrictions associated with in-person delivery.
determined to deliver learning materials at scale
Rich and Jackie knew that making their materials available at scale would ultimately help them to more effectively achieve their mission:
‘To enable everybody to be their best, most authentic self, every day, by showing up consistently from a mindset of Growth rather than Survival.’
And so, in 2019 they began developing the Mindset Practice platform and digital tools. This was a bold project, and there were initial concerns that participants of the digital programme might have an inferior experience compared to those in-person.
Therefore it was paramount to the success of this platform that the range of digital materials enhanced the overall learning experience in order to achieve the same level of impact and results for every programme participant.
the challenge
Video content was always going to be key to adding a human touch to the Mindset Practice learning platform.
When faced with the unexpected global challenges of 2020 though, Rich and Jackie decided to quickly capture the necessary material using Zoom. Whilst they knew this wasn’t the long-term solution, it allowed Mindset Practice to continue supporting their existing customers during what was an incredibly challenging time.

Early feedback received from the first wave of digital programme participants returned very optimistic results. Rich and Jackie were encouraged by these reassuringly positive digital outcomes.
And so, they recognised it was time to invest in levelling up the platform video content to appropriately reflect the value, care and expertise applied throughout the development of their suite of mindset tools and solutions.
the approach
Following a thorough period of discovery to fully understand the key outcomes and priorities in this large-scale video production project, we developed a tailor-made solution.
Given the volume of premium e-learning videos required, we took a multi-camera approach to production. This enabled seamless cuts between takes, mixed live using the BlackMagic ATEM Mini Extreme. In order to create a relaxed and personal feel, we opted to setup in a ‘lounge’ style environment over a formal studio setting.
We appreciated that early programme participants responded well to the ‘at home’ feel that Rich and Jackie had achieved with their original zoom recordings. It was important therefore to retain that feeling of psychologically safety within our professional setup.

Over the course of several filming days and locations our experienced production team successfully captured and cut over 50 Mindset Practice platform videos.
Post-production went through several stages: from tightening up the narration, adding captions, motion graphics and supplementary slides to carrying out the final full audio mix, colour grade and creating captions.
In addition, our team of professional video editors went on to create and deliver a library of over 100 supplementary marketing resources, including micro learning content and infographics that we scripted from supplied research and evidence data.

Mindset Practice have welcomed five new team members
the results
Early in 2022 our premium e-learning videos were published on the pioneering Mindset Practice platform, to support the delivery of both existing programmes as well as a range of new practitioner training courses as well.
Since then, over 2600 participants have registered on the digital programmes, with 9 new programmes launched and global reach now a reality. As a result, the Mindset Practice team has almost quadrupled in size to support the increasing organic demand for access to the Mindset Practice digital materials. And they’re in the process of developing new programmes in response to growing customer demand.
